Achieving Unity and Love beyond All Differences

The 2008 International Kabbalah Congress aims to make unity and love beyond all differences possible, for the attendees, and later, for humanity.

Achieving Unity and Love beyond All Differences

Rav Michael Laitman, PhD (in the daily Kabbalah lessons broadcasted live on Kabbalah TV and podcasted on the Kabbalah Media Archive) often refers to the upcoming 2008 International Kabbalah Congress as an opportunity to rise above the Tower of Babel.

The Tower of Babel: 2,000 people, 47 countries, 50 languages

The “Tower of Babel” can be seen in the vast diversity of people who have already registered for the congress. To date, over two thousand people have registered to this congress, from forty-seven countries, and speaking over fifty languages.

Purpose of the Congress

The purpose of having such a diverse mix of people gathering at the congress is precisely wherein the Tower of Babel is “risen above.” The purpose of the congress is to unite above this great depth of diversity, to discover the point of common unity that every person shares: our soul.

From a Small Group to Humanity at Large

Achieving this discovery will be according to the principles and guidance of Kabbalists. According to Kabbalists, in our era humanity needs to start realizing and uniting around the principles of love, unity and bestowal. Moreover, Kabbalah states that the actualization of these principles among human society needs to take place firstly among a small group of people. When such a group achieves unity based on these principles, then relations of love, unity and bestowal can spread to humanity at large.

2008 International Kabbalah Congress: A Big Step toward Actualizing Relations of Unity & Love in Humanity

The 2008 International Kabbalah Congress aims to make a big step toward making these relations in humanity a livable reality: by achieving unity and love in the group that will be attending, and by preparing this group to transfer these human relations to humanity at large. Everybody who wants to accept upon themselves the work of loving one another beyond all differences, and actualize them in this group that will be attending the congress (according to the principles and guidance of Kabbalists*) is welcome to join.
